I sort of took a break from the music for a bit. I now have my 8/64 track recorder hooked up and plan to rerecord a couple of the songs on my CD. I also am thinking of adding some tracks to some of the songs.

Some ideas for new songs have been floating around in my head and I think I will try to finish them. Also, I will be putting my lyrics on this site.

Well, I have to mention that my songs, I'm Not Happy and Chomp Chomp Chew Chew were on the John Boy and Billy Big Show this Tuesday. It was cool.

The segment is called, "Plug Yourself" and they played most of I'm Not Happy, cut it off about 3/4 of the way through, then played Chomp Chomp Chew Chew, again about 3/4 of the way through, laughing at appropriate places. Chomp Chomp Chew Chew then became the source of humor during the show. They closed the show with Chomp Chomp playing.

Well, my gig Saturday night went quite well. I mean, tennis, beer, singing and playing guitar....who could ask for more?

Everyone seemed to enjoy the show, although I kind of had to do lots of covers because I didn't think people were quite ready to sit and listen to "folky" stuff. But that's OK. I enjoy doing covers and most of mine are obscure selections anyway...although one guy did know Dan Hicks!

I was fortunate enough to get a sort of sub sub feature on YouTube the other day which has generated some listeners. Very cool. I can hardly wait until someone tells me I suck! It'll be cool! A great test of the ego.

I played another gig a couple days ago. It's always interesting to see how many people show up, how I play, how I sing, if they like it, etc.  I didn't feel good, didn't sing especially well, but after a few people showed up, I ended up playing the dobro pretty well!

I have another gig in a week or so, which should be fun because it combines food, tennis, beer, music and friends. What more could you want?
